"WHAT DO WE DO NEXT?"

Imagine! Out of seven million (7,000,000) people living in Hong Kong, one hundred seventy-five thousand (175,000) are Filipino! One hundred seventy thousand (170,000) of these are WOMEN!!

Though most have college educations, they travel to Hong Kong to be domestic helpers in order to support their families back in the Philippines.

Having only one day a week off from work, usually Saturday or Sunday, they gather at the park surrounding Hong Kong City Hall.

Hong Kong officials say 50,000 Filipinos gather on Sundays in small groupings, for companionship and to share news of home.
